Hello, I'm Rooster, aka "kockatriceking". This is my website, and this is the part of my website where I put the shit that isn't a story. I'm a mixed (Thai and English) man in my 20s who currently resides in the UK. I draw shit, and code shit, and generally do other shit. I went to college for computer science and all I use that for now is this site. My favourite animals are chickens.
I have schizoid personality disorder, which is the most boring kind of personality disorder, so I'm not very interesting.

This site is something I do for fun as a way to coalesce all my works, and is sporadically updated in bursts, usually when I do enough backend coding to upload onto Neocities at once and/or remember this place exists. Have fun looking around. There's a number of pages that aren't obviously marked, so try clicking on different things. My style of webdesign is "do whatever looks sick and suits the story", so I apologise in advance if some pages don't function properly on mobile or in other browsers, though I've generally tried to keep it mostly coherent and hopefully accessible.

Don't ask me to help with code, my shit sucks and is absolutely Not the way to do it properly.

This cute little cockatrice tabling was made by the excellent TabF5, whose site is a masterclass of clean web design. Go check him out!
This site was made as a way to tell stories in a fun and engaging manner. I wanted somewhere where you could access each one and view the work as a collective. Each page was themed after the specific story, and some drew inspirations from others. Here's some behind-the-scenes on the design choices made.
White Swift's lander page was pretty basic intentionally. I don't really have any idea what to do with this one yet... The logo itself is based pretty heavily off Ace Combat Electrosphere's General Resource Limited, which is also one of my favourite games. The swift design comes from swifts being a migratory bird that essentially lives on the wing permanently, which is basically what the main character CALI:COM does (she's an AGI uploaded on satellite servers). The blue and white colourscheme is based off the colours of a clear sky. I still need to finish up the Whitestone page and add in some more character pages, but that'll happen when it happens.
Blaircliff has a sort of 2000s aesthetic, maybe early 2010s? The lander page for this was sort of inspired by early webpages and looks quite basic, but the coding behind this sucked ass to do. The faux twitter/facebook-esque media feed was my favourite part to incorporate but geting it to work had me on my knees. It adds a lot of subtle worldbuilding imo. The page is still unfinished (surprise surprise...). I want to throw in some faux advertising for in-world products, and expand a little on the newspaper feed. And of course, to add in flavour text for each heading. The name Blaircliff just means "field by a cliff", and has nothing to do with the Blair Witch Project. I envisioned the town to be a small seaside town that was once a fairly lively tourist trap, whose biggest claim to fame was being close to where the Blaircliff dragon was slain, but has since fallen into decline due to the exportation of the tourism industry abroad (a pretty common fate for small British seaside towns today). I want to make a better logo for this one, and add some character pages.
"Canis caninam non est" (trans. "a dog does not eat dog's flesh") is the name for a classic "unethical lab experiment makes a fucked up weapon of a person" story. Look, it's 2026, we're leaving cringe dead in the dust and embracing the edgy concepts we had as kids. This one is my most playful and experimental page- I wasn't sure where to go with it for a while until the idea of a conspiracy-style site leading to the secret truth hit me. I love the look of the pinboard, but I might change it from the lander page to a puzzle page, and have a more traditional site be the lander. The writing style for this was very partially inspired by some SCP stuff. I really fuck with the artstyle used here as well.
Task Force 13's page was pretty simple. It was designed to look like government files on a highly secretive elite force made up of international operatives all tasked with one mission- find the source of corruption. TF13 originated as a spin-off from Sunset, and drew some inspiration from arcade plane games such as Ace Combat and Project Wingman as well as Call of Duty- the name Task Force 13 is a riff on Task Force 141, and the Cŵn Annwn mercenary group is inspired by Sicario from Project Wingman. It's just an excuse for me to play with sick fucking mechs and aeroplanes and demons and shit. Like most of these pages, it needs finishing.
I wasn't intending on creating a personal page, but I liked looking at other people's about pages so much I figured I'd throw one out there too. The design for this one is MASSIVELY inspired by TWELVEMEN's legacy RED design. I also wanted an excuse to draw fun cockatrices and a place to talk about the design choices for each page without taking away from the immersiveness of said page. Where's that tumblr post about how you've got to get pretentious about your own work because who else is going to. That's the idea. I did not put all this thought and effort in for it to go unnoticed. I added a miscellaneous page for dumping a "shit i like" gallery into because again, I enjoy looking at other people's pages and want to mimic that.
