Welcome to a world of revolution.
Welcome to a world of resurrection.
Welcome to a world of relevation.

Welcome to SUNSET REQUIEM.

INTRODUCTION

SUNSET REQUIEM (Eschaton) is a sci-fi post-apocalyptic fantasy world with heavy focus on politics and interpersonal conflicts. This page hosts a collection of short stories and artwork about what happens after the end of the world- post-rapture, depending on who you ask. After reality itself unwound and respooled and tangled itself in knots and rips and tears and belief changed truths and truths became lies. After the world tore itself asunder and gave birth to its death and killed its present and past and ate its future whole. After humanity went to war against things they called angels and gods and demons and devils and spirits and aliens and beings of a thousand other names depending on who you ask.

They won.

The whole world ended and yet it goes on as normal.
The spirit of life is that in the end, it is inevitable.

THE AUTHOR

Hi, I'm Rooster. I make silly stories and art with no public appeal.

This page is a collective of my oldest and largest work, SUNSET REQUIEM. It's a collection of short stories and artwork all centered in the same universe.

There are other works of mine that are similar in tone to SUNSET REQUIEM and are linked to this tale in some way. They'll be added to this page in due time, with their own landing page and links.

I'm a Southeast Asian artist from the UK who is interested in the surreal, odd, strange and creepy. If you like monsters, dragons, Biblical imagery, machines, and body horror, you'll probably like my work. I also enjoy spec bio and heavy worldbuilding... as evidenced by this page. I do all this for fun- I have a fulltime non-art-related job and also a life, so things may be a little slow to update. Also, I like to work on other stories too. There's a reason I'm not favoured by algorithms; I'm incredibly inconsistent. I draw what I want and write what I like, when I like.
I have no kind of formal art education. I'm entirely self-taught (thanks Internet!) and draw what I'm interested in. I'm very happy to take constructive criticism.

1. Man is a MORAL animal.

2. You can get human beings to do anything- IF you convince them that it is moral.

3. You can convince human beings anything is moral.

I do not take commissions. I may do art trades. I don't take requests. Again, I have a job and a life. I don't need extra cash or pressure to draw.

I'm not Christian or any kind of Abrahamic religion and was not raised in a Abrahamic household. All Biblical references are not meant to be derogatory or offensive- I find the Bible, particularly the Old Testament, fascinating, and merely draw inspiration from the tales of angels, demons, monsters, and dragons found within those pages. I consider my work to be a homage, rather than a condemnation. I'm happy to take criticism and education about these topics, and any other sensitive topics in the SUNSET REQUIEM tales. Feel free to bring up any offences, and I'd be glad to talk it over with you (but please remember, I'm just one man!)

Q & A

This website's theme was created by Repth.

It is largely functional without Javacript and is mobile-compatible.

However, the site is still best viewed on a desktop.

Be aware the site is sporadically and randomly updated and may change suddenly while you're on it.
  • Why is your site so... boring?
  • I am A) not a programmer and B) trying to keep this as accessible as possible. That means simple site.

  • What is this?
  • Read the About section. This is just one guy fucking around with imaginary dolls in his head.

  • Where's all the actual content?
  • On its way. Eventually.

  • How long have you been doing this?
  • Sunset Requiem, as a project, has existed since late 2016. There is a very early draft of one of the stories still on Tumblr somewhere. This website has existed since 22/08/2024.

  • It's been around that long and you don't have any content?
  • I work on other things. But I'm also a massive procrastinator.

  • Is there any other context to this project?
  • Not really- everything is on here. However, you can find images inspiring Sunset Requiem on my Tumblr, which is basically like the Pinterest #aesthetic moodboard for this project. You can also find my art and some relevant ramblings on my Instagram, more specifically my stories & highlights- be aware some of the information is no longer accurate to the latest version of Sunset Requiem

  • Can I use this content myself?
  • You're free to share & adapt any material here (excluding commissioned artwork) for noncommercial use. Please link back to this page if you do so!
